Excellent service to resolve situation where student owned laptop was stolen and insurance company refused to cover. The service from the KAS team - was professional, attentive, timely and resolved the situation to our complete satisfaction. Really appreciative of the KAS service and support in resolving this problem.

    Response

Thanks to DSA-QAG and the supplier (Barry Bennett) for assisting with this student's issue.

  • Anya Rowson (on behalf of Tom Rowson) (Ref: 725)

Thank you very much to the assessor for a very thorough assessment. My son is usually very reluctant to ask for help and usually denies that any help is needed. The assessor was obviously very patient and asked the right kind of questions because from reading the statement it seems they understood his needs better than they ever did during 6 years of secondary school. Thank you
  • Rachel Tribe (Ref : 21420)

I've got the equipment now and it's a fantastic help. My whole contact with Kingston Assessment was extremely professional throughout.

I had an excellent assessor. They were very sensitive to my needs and did more than I could ever ask for! I felt supported. They were very friendly, easy to talk to and thorough. I did not feel anxious or rushed at all. They offered me tea/coffee/water before beginning the assessment- very hospitable. I highly recommend them ;)

  • Cristina (Ref : 20585)

I came to this appointment without knowing what to expect . But then I met a lovely assessor who made me feel comfortable and explained everything .This made me feel at ease . The assessor was a wonderful person who knows their job very well but at the same time made it easy for the person in front of them ! Many people dont know how to do that ! In other words it was a very pleasant experience with a very professional touch ! I haven't got words to explain the whole app, very professional and human ! They explained everything in great detail but easy to understand . I wish more professionals dealing with disabled people will be like this assessor ! Thank you

  • SIAN O (Ref: 22238)

I found my needs assessment a very useful process and left feeling less anxious about the demands of my course versus the unpredictability of my MS because there is a lot of support available that my assessor, knew about which would help me. They wrote a comprehensive & thorough report stating all my needs & making helpful recommendations. They was very proactive about looking at diffident sources of funding. They were amazingly efficient & I can't thank them enough.

I am very happy with my experience dealing with Kingston Assessment Services. I am a mature student identified as having various specific learning difficulties. I sent an email during a weekend, requesting an appointment. I received a reply first thing Monday morning with a variety of options. I chose an appointment for the following week. During the assessment, my assessor was patient, understanding and professional. As I have only recently been identified as having learning difficulties, I was still unsure as to what it entailed. My assessor was able to draw from experience to suggest and explain what others in my situation have done and used. We discussed my difficulties and options and to end the assessment, my assessor went on to give me a clear and detailed explanation of what the next steps were, what should happen next and what to do if things did not go to plan. My assessment report was sent well within a working week and everything went fairly smoothly and quickly. Despite this, if this were to go awry, I would have felt comfortable in contacting either my assessor or KAS. So as stated at the beginning of this review, I am very happy with my experience dealing with Kingston Assessment Services, in particular with my assessor.

They were very friendly and supportive from the outset which put me at ease right away - as I was nervous. The meeting lasted about an hour and it ran like a conversation. It did not feel like an interview or an assessment (except for the formal bits and pieces that must be done). At all times they explained the process and what may/ may not help and what could be given to me. I did not go in aware of any software, devices or services that were available. I came out with a basic knowledge of the things that are out there for people who have my limitations. Just having the knowledge is so important as we can also purchase these things later if adequate funding is not received. When I received the report I was so shocked at the detail that was included. They had listened so carefully and empathetically. Their ability to process such a huge amount of information and then record it so accurately is amazing - it goes to show how genuinely compassionate they are towards the people under their 'care'. The meeting was a great learning experience - and I felt hopeful. I was very apprehensive about my PhD now I am certain that my experience studying may be more enjoyable!
  • Kieran Patel (Ref: 31674)

  • Linda (Ref:37867)

I recommend KAS to anyone who needs support. I am 46 years of age and finally getting the support I should have had years ago back in school. The journey for me was an emotional one once finding out I did need support. There were tears to start with after being diagnosed and tears of joy when support was offered. The two assessors I saw were fantastic, professional and very understanding and could relate to how I was feeling. When phoning to make the appointments, both times I was seen with 48-72 hours. At the meeting I was not made to feel rushed but totally the opposite, a very relaxed atmosphere. I am now excited about my future studies plus I can use and put into place the methods shown to me also in my place of work but more importantly to my daughter who is also has dyslexia. Thank you KAS team for all your support. A* service. :)

A brilliant service; I recommend KAS to anyone who needs support as you will receive such professional and considerate treatment. Even the first impression I had of the service was great: I received an appointment so quickly and the receptionist was very helpful in informing me of what to expect. Then, when I met with my assessor I was even more impressed. They made the process not at all intimidating; it felt like I was speaking to someone who could entirely relate to my situation. They patiently answered the concerns/queries I raised and explained the application process thoroughly-I did not feel rushed or judged. As they were explaining some of the forms of treatment available, I began to shed tears out of sheer relief. I finally found someone who knew exactly what I needed and someone who could offer me the support that has the potential to massively improve my wellbeing. Also, as well as being compassionate and diligent, my assessor was incredibly prompt: my report was processed and sent by the next day! Most importantly, I left the appointment feeling comforted, and optimistic about my future: something I haven't been in a long time.
